RWE Supply & Trading provides the interface between RWE and energy markets around the globe. Our approximately 1,600 employees trade electricity, gas, commodities and CO2 emission certificates, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. We operate one of the world’s largest trading floors in Essen, and we are also active in global financial centres such as London and New York and in growth markets, in particular in Asia, with branch offices in Singapore and China. With our highly accurate market analyses and a strong customer focus we create innovative energy supply solutions as well as risk management concepts for industrial enterprises.
Integrating renewables into RWE enables RWE Supply & Trading to develop more tailored solutions from under the umbrella of RWE, for example packages of renewables combined with balancing energy or conventionally generated energy. We draw on our extensive experience in marketing electricity generated from renewable energy sources. Deutsche Bahn (German Rail) is just one of the companies that procures green electricity via RWE Supply & Trading.
In order to optimise the use of conventional RWE power plants, we work closely with the operating units of RWE's generating companies RWE Power and RWE Generation. We are also very active on the future markets for gas and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
Under § 77 EEG, all electricity suppliers are required to publish the data reported to the transmission system operator.
